Two-way interview between reporter Kris Harrell and Troy University Theatre and Dance professor Quinton Cockrell
In an interview with Troy University faculty member Quinton Cockrell, reporter Kris Harrell learns more about Cockrell's theatre career, what led him to the stage, and some of his work as a playwright.
This was one of the first projects of the special topics course, introducing the student to Hindenburg Pro, the recording studio and how to conduct interviews over audio.
This is a multimedia project of mine, those interested in the written version of this story should visit the corresponding article on my portfolio
Three-minute radio feature
Nov. 17, 2023
Three-minute radio feature about Walk with Amal's tour to Montgomery and the historic downtown area.
In October, a young refugee girl visited Montgomery’s historic Five Points District on a longer journey across the United States. As she walked through the neighborhood and put one foot in front of the other, she spread a message of hope along the way.
This was another project with the special topics course, and a personal multimedia project of mine as a reporter. This project taught the student how to report and conduct interviews on-scene and use radio recording equipment.
This feature aired on Troy Public Radio on Nov. 17, 2023.
